Dennis Berkgamp’s career has seen him playing in Ajax, Arsenal and Inter Milan but it was during his stay with the Premier League club that he made a more substantial impact as he made over 300 appearances with Arsenal and received a number of awards due to his consistent performances.

In 2007 he was even placed into the English Football Hall of Fame which was made by viewers of BB’S Football Focus as well as being named into the FIFA 100 which was a list created by Pele as one of the 125 greatest living footballers.

The contributions he managed to make for Arsenal is still being appreciated by the fans of the Premier League club as he was voted 2nd by the fans in a list of the 50 Greatest players to have played for Arsenal, he came right behind the Frenchman Thierry Henry.

A few weeks ago there was an unveiling of a statue of Bergkamp which was made outside of the Emirates Stadium to honor his time at the club and the Dutchman has revealed that he has intentions on coming back to Arsenal but this time as a coach.

“It was great to hear that the fans want me to come back. But it’s not the right time. I have a family with four children and we have just started something at Ajax. I am not in rush. But one day I will return to Arsenal.” Bergkamp told the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

Bergkamp was greeted by chants of Arsenal fans who were shouting his name during the unveiling of the statue that was made in his honor a few weeks ago. He is now serving as the assistant manager of Frank De Boer at Ajax but he confirmed that one day, some day he will indeed return to Arsenal.
