1 goal in 19 appearances is not a very good track record but nonetheless it is still enough for the 29 year old Frenchman Yohan Cabaye to attract the attention of Arsenal as the Premier League is reportedly interested in signing the player from Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsene Wenger has already attempted to sign Cabaye as the coach of Arsenal launched a €10 million offer for the attacker back when he was performing for Newcastle United at the start of last season but a deal could never be completed as it was Paris Saint-German who managed to secure the services of Cabaye but after a very unfulfilling season, his time at the French club might be reaching it’s end. Yohan Cabaye has had to settle with a place on the sidelines of PSG for the majority of the season and the player desires to join a team where he plays a much more important role and this is where Arsenal comes in as he can be able to turn into a regular starter for Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium but this will depend on whether or not PSG is even interested in offloading Cabaye during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain is another player that’s in the watch-list of Arsene Wenger but this player might be more difficult to sign then Yohan Cabaye. Higuain plays an important role for Napoli as the Argentine forward has made 28 appearances and scored 13 times. One of the reasons on why Higuain could make a move outside of Napoli is the fact that the club is struggling to land a Champions League spot and the Argentine player has already announced his desire to participate in the European competition. Competing in the Europa League is not enough as Higuain wants something more and this is something that Arsenal can offer to the former Real Madrid player.
