The Chilean midfielder of Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez is believed to have caught the attention of Spain’s Real Madrid who are attempting to lure him into the Santiago Bernabeu when the winter transfer window opens in January.
Alexis Sanchez is considered to be one of the best players in the squad of Arsene Wenger and the French manager would not be interested in allowing one of his standout performers in exiting the Emirates Stadium but at the right price, anything can be accomplished.
Arsene Wenger is already searching for possible replacement that can fill in the spot of Alexis Sanchez, in case he does join Real Madrid by 2016. There are a number of players that are in the radar of the French manager some of these include: Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, Athletic Madrid’s Saul Niguez and Southampton’s Victor Wanyama.
Saul Niguez was believed to be on the verge of joining Arsenal but the transfer fell apart after it was confirmed that his Athletic Madrid teammate Tiago picked up an injury and taking into consideration that both players perform in the same position, this would leave Athletic Madrid without any options and the transfer eventually collapsed.
For the past few weeks reports have been emerging claiming that James Rodriguez is fed up with Rafael Benitez and that they do not have a healthy relationship, this rumor has caused a chain reaction as there are now a number of clubs that have shown interest in taking advantage of this and attempt to sign the Colombian attacker. Arsene Wenger is also believed to be interested in signing Rodriguez and might use Alexis Sanchez as leverage in order to bring in the Colombian performer.
Even with all the cash that the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Real Madrid might bring to Arsenal and to the Emirates Stadium, it wouldn’t be a wise option for the Premier League club to do as the Chilean player has proved his worth and has helped Arsenal in lifting the FA Cup as well as the FA Community Shield both of which were secured in the previous season.
Real Madrid will have to launch a very tempting offer in order to lure Sanchez away from Arsene Wenger who does not seem to be interested in letting him go anytime soon.
